We have a rich wildlife, with creatures of all kinds – “birds, fish, and everything in between”.

Get a map of Gålö at the reception and be sure to ask about the staff’s favorite spots! We are happy to show you where you can fish, where you have the best chance to see moose and deer, what kinds of mushrooms and berries you can find, and which hiking trails might suit your needs.
Don’t forget to look up too! Then you may get to see our proud white-tailed eagles sail by with watchful eyes.

Right next to the facility, we also have the fantastic Archipelago Education Center with Edith’s path for young and old. Here you can learn about the archipelago’s nature and wildlife. You can investigate, look, search, and also learn about what it was like to live as a child in the past on Gålö through Edith’s story.
